JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Compliance Coordinator coordinates and facilitates all Safety & Food safety training activities. The leader will all have a key role in all Employee certifications, update training records, ensure Food Safety compliance as well as be the active voice and leader in assuring associates conform to these procedures at the floor level. The Compliance Coordinator takes a lead role for the operations group in guaranteeing the success of all related Safety & Food Safety audits. Ensures that all training, audits, and certifications are up-to-date and in accordance with company policies, and requirements. Develops and maintains SOPs for all processes/procedures within the department. Actively reviews operations to identify potential process improvements, potential Safety hazards and at risk behaviors. Works hard to support common team goals.

JOB DUTIES:
• Coordinate and facilitate training and necessary certification of associates.
• Communicate expectations for Safety, Food Safety, PPE & GMP standards to associates.
• Works with associates and leadership to insure required assessments in training are scheduled and completed in accordance with the training timeline for the position.
• Complete training by verifying that the associate can work safe, and efficient, independently.
• Complete process audits to monitor the adherence of procedures and investigate to determine root cause; communicates to necessary parties for corrective action.
• Serve as a role model for all associates.
• Provide coaching for any witnessed or validated unsafe behavior and/or non-conformance to procedures.
• Ensure departmental compliance with company policies and guidelines.
• Balance team and individual responsibilities, exhibiting objectivity and openness to others views. Give and welcome feedback, contributing to building a positive team spirit. Able to build morale and positively contribute to the support of the staff’s efforts to meet group and individual goals and objectives

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Strong math skills with problem solving abilities
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and excel in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivate and ability to stay productive in an environment with minimal supervision
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, leadership, associates, customers, and the public
• Demonstrate a high degree of awareness to safety, accuracy and productivity
• Effectively present and facilitate meetings
• Ability to work any shift
• Ability to obtain forklift certification

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma/GED, college preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs: Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Windows
• Experience with JD Edwards, Red Prairie WMS, or any other WMS desired

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Previous Safety or Compliance experience desired

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Ability to work in ambient, chilled, and frozen work environments
• Standing, walking around production facilities for large percentage of daily shifts


HOURS & WORKDAYS:
Mid Shift (Range: 8:00am – 10:00 pm), Monday through Sunday, with rotating days off.
**When business requires, overtime and weekends will be mandatory
