The Trainer will assist the shift supervisor with training personnel and coordinating job functions in an effort to achieve optimum safety, efficiency and productivity.

• Assist shift supervisor to direct, coordinate, and monitor employees within the assigned area
• Facilitate / assist with the set up / changeover production lines with the production crew, provide guidance as required
• Identify trainees and set-up training procedures / schedule with the assigned employees
• Provide general verbal orientation to the employee regarding the tasks, work environment and responsibilities of their assigned position
• Instruct the employee in the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Safety Procedures required for the position
• Accompany trainee to assigned production line position and begin the orientation into the job tasks and procedures
• Physically demonstrate the proper techniques to use to effectively and safely perform the job tasks.
• Observe and evaluate the employee performing the tasks and provide them with critical feedback of their performance
• Facilitate, assist and cover for production employees throughout the shift as required
• Equip staff with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to carry out work-related task
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or equivalent; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely

• Previous experience in food production/manufacturing facility
• Prior working knowledge of OSHA, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA, USDA and EPA regulations
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

• Environmental exposure- cold/wet conditions (40 ° or below)
• Material exposure-moving mechanical parts
• Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles and vibrations
• Able to lift, slide and carry up to 25 lbs
• Able to stand and walk for an extended period of time during work period

2nd shift, Monday through Friday, when business requires overtime and weekends will be mandatory
