JOB DESCRIPTION: The Warehouse Lead ensures customer orders are prepared and shipped as ordered; assigns work task as needed; maintains dock cleanliness and safety. Warehouse Lead responsibilities could include allocating and maintaining all case picked orders or have the responsibility for running the table on the docks to ensure all orders are properly shipped and audit sheets are properly completed and signed. Responsible for receiving incoming raw ingredients to be stored and issued out to production departments.

JOB DUTIES:
• Ensures all employees are working in a highly productive and safe manner
• Works with Warehouse Supervisor to ensure proper training, coaching, and development is being provided
• Ensures timely loading of scheduled customer orders
• Assigns orders to loaders based on experience level, and priority/appointment time
• Inspects/audits all inbound/outbound orders for accuracy, completeness, and compliance which may include special instructions
• Understands the importance of maintaining a clean and organized warehouse and carrot and beverage picking areas
• Engaged and holds daily start up meetings with appropriate staff
• Manages flow of work in the warehouse and on the shipping dock via JD Edwards system and Red Prairie WMS
• Understand how to allocate an order by,
o Looking at multiple orders and allocating by appointments
o Understanding the sales demand screen
o Ensuring product is allocated by FIFO
o Creating Replenishments to fix shorts and move product to pick-able locations
o Must be proficient with the Business Intelligence program to run reports (i.e. whitewood, productivity, replenishments and others)
• Daily communication with outside departments to insure service and inventory compliance
• Perform other duties as assigned


REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Has the ability to work with minimal Supervision
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of company GMP’s, all SOP’s, and safety regulations
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced, high pressure environment
• Should have exceptional leadership and decision making abilities
• Must have the ability to learn different aspects of the Warehouse, and the ability to lead and teach others how to achieve the same results 
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or GED; and one to two years related warehouse experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid California Driver license

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have the ability to learn different aspects of the Warehouse, and the ability to lead and teach others how to achieve the same results
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• May work in the following areas - Apex warehouse/cold storage/shipping dock/ Main warehouse
• Exposure to cold temperature (-10 to 34 degrees)
• Must be able to lift up 50-55 pound 
 
HOURS & WORKDAYS:
2nd shift and 3rd shift, Monday through Sunday with rotating days off, when business requires overtime and weekends will be mandatory
